Accessibility

Access should be part of the road, not a detour

This statement describes the practical measures and current limits of drivenotes.site.

1. Our commitment

Drive Notes aims to make its information usable by people with varied abilities, devices and ways of navigating.

We use WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a practical reference and review accessibility as content and technology change.

2. Design and content practices

Pages use semantic landmarks, one main heading, ordered subheadings, readable type, strong contrast and descriptive image alternatives.

Information is not conveyed by colour alone, controls have visible focus states and layouts respond to text enlargement.

3. Compatibility

Core navigation and content work without JavaScript. The mobile menu uses native disclosure controls and all links are keyboard accessible.

The site is designed for current standards-based browsers and common screen readers on desktop and mobile devices.

4. Known limitations

Differences between browser, operating-system and assistive-technology combinations may affect presentation or announcement.

Some long editorial pages require substantial navigation. The skip link and heading structure are provided to reduce that burden.

5. Requesting help

If any content is difficult to access, tell us the page, task, device and format that would work better.

Email contact@drivenotes.site or phone +61 8 9161 1293 during Monday–Friday, 10:00 am–6:00 pm AWST.

6. Feedback and review

We consider accessibility feedback during editorial and technical reviews and prioritise barriers that prevent access to core information.
